Admission to the specialization of Biophysics is regulated according to the Guide on Study at the Faculty of Physics, Warsaw University (see vol. I page 25).
An application to the Head of the Division of Biophysics should contain a list of all passed examinations and laboratory exercises in physics and mathematics as well as information about the currently attending courses. Detailed information about the required subjects to be completed is specified in the Guide, vol. I, p. 55. A special attention should be put on the Quantum Mechanics I, on the 2nd Physical Laboratory (part A), and on the Introduction to Biophysics. Within the 2nd Physical Laboratory the exercises SF1, SF4 or SF5 are highly recommended (absorption or emission molecular spectroscopy).
A provisional admission is possible under condition of completing the missing course during the 4th year of studies, in agreement with the Head of Division of Biophysics and the Dean of the Faculty of Physics.
The specialized studies in Biophysics (see the Guide vol. I page 70) may be oriented experimentally or theoretically. The former require completion of all laboratory courses instead of two lectures, Statistical Physics and Numerical Methods II while the latter demand both lectures in place of Biochemical and Genetic Laboratories.
